Michael Dontschuk
Michael has 35 years of experience in investment, finance, treasury and financial risk management. As Group Treasurer of ANZ bank, he led balance sheet management, capital and funding strategies for the bank including the significant acquisition and integration of NBNZ from Lloyds.
As Managing Director and EGM at Treasury Corporation of Victoria (TCV), he facilitated the finance needs of the state and built the organisational capability for TCV, which became recognised as a centre of excellence in the public sector and by financial markets.
TCV significantly contributed to Victoria’s reform agenda under the Kennett government and acted as the financial advisor on many of the state’s infrastructure initiatives.
Michael was also Group Treasurer and Commercial Director of Grange Resources Limited In addition to his corporate responsibilities, he helped develop the project financing requirements of projects owned by Grange.
Additionally, Michael acts as a Director for Australia Ratings, Australia’s first retail licensed credit rating business.
He is also the Director of the Tasmanian government’s Motor Accident Insurance Board (MAIB), which manages the state’s CTP liability with $1.5 billion under investment.
Michael provides the corporate advisory relating to funding and corporate structure for this mandate.
